 My name is Jim Osment.
I have been making things for as long as I can remember. Sometimes out of necessity, for my own amusement or for family and friends, but previously never for sale.
Why now?
Well why not?
For the last couple of years I've been doing some work as a handyman, and come to realize that my abilities are in demand and worth good money, which has given me the confidence to do this. Now, like artists everywhere, I just want to make money doing things that I enjoy doing, and making things that I enjoy making.
I have thoroughly enjoyed making the items here and I hope you enjoy them too. I enjoy the process of gathering little inspirations from everywhere and combining ideas to come up with something new and unique. I make these pieces out of recycled machine parts and non precious metals. Many of these items are in steampunk style or at least steampunk inspired. I try to avoid paint's glues and lacquers join everything together using rivets and silver solder.

This is my own little web store, but this is not the only online trading I have done. On ebay I trade under the username Sydneyjim, so you can check my approximately 280 positive feedbacks there.
I hope you enjoy looking at my jewellery here, but I also hope you buy some. I think they will be excellent gifts for those hard to buy for people who seem to already have everything. If you are seeking something handmade, by an Australian, with great attention to detail and design, then you've come to the right place.
The prices are the lowest possible when you consider that I have to buy and accumulate the materials, tools and consumables, design each item, make it, photograph it, print labels, write about it and upload it, and with a bit of luck, post it.
Buy with confidence, if you're unsure, send me an email first and ask whatever you want to know. Checkout my blog for the inside information.
I hope to hear from you soon.
